バミューダトライアングルの日
1943年のこの日、大西洋上で米軍機５機が突然消息を経った。フロリダ半島の先端と、プエルトリコ、バミューダ諸島と結んだ三角形の海域は、むかしから船や飛行機が消えてしまうという伝説があった。ヴィンセント・ガディスが1964年「バミューダ・トライアングル」という言葉を初めて使った。1974年、チャールズ・バーリッツはこの科学では説明のつかない話を研究し、失われた都市アトランティスの崩壊によって生じたエネルギーの渦が原因という仮説をたて「謎のバミューダトライアングル」という本を出版した。（12月５日）
